Selection criteria

In order to attend Australia Marketplace India 2019 (AMI19), you must have received an invitation to attend by Tourism Australia. You must also be either:
  • A travel agency manager; or,
  • A staff member of an Aussie Specialist agency handling operations, product development or marketing.
  • You cannot nominate a relative, friend or a person not actively involved in your day to day business operations. TA reserves the right to deny registration or entry to persons who are not directly involved in the business operations.
Please refer to the Buyer Event Policy for full considerations applied to the above categories.

The agency must also demonstrate efforts or show proof of selling and promoting Australia as a leisure/holiday destination, if required, for the application to be considered.

Inbound tour operators (ITOs) wishing to attend AMI19 as a buyer must have offices in both Australia and in market with the minimum of one (1) staff member in market and be able to outline a clear and relevant objective for attending AMI19 in the event application.

To be accepted as a buyer delegate at the AMI19, you must provide Tourism Australia with a submission which demonstrates that you meet the appropriate criteria. These criteria and the Buyer Event Policy govern your participation at this event.

By submitting an application, you are taken to have agreed to the Buyer Event Policy and you release Tourism Australia, to the extent permitted by law, from liability for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of participating in the AMI19 should your application be accepted and confirmed.

You must submit a completed online application, which addresses each of the criteria relevant to your desired level of participation, and any other necessary supporting materials to Tourism Australia by the dates specified.

In considering your submission, Tourism Australia will consider your ability to satisfy the criteria above, and also reserves the right to decline an application accordingly.

Tourism Australia may cancel the participation of an organisation at the AMI19 if that organisation has an account with Tourism Australia which has not been paid and/or the payment of which has not been cleared 10 working days prior to the commencement of the AMI19.

Tourism Australia may cancel the participation of such an organisation despite the fact that Tourism Australia has accepted deposit funds from that organisation.

You acknowledge that if Tourism Australia cancels your participation because you have an outstanding account (as described above) you have no right of action, claim, proceeding or demand against Tourism Australia for such cancellation.

Tourism Australia may amend or reject any application, which is inconsistent with the overall criteria.

Tourism Australia reserves the right to waive any of these criteria at its discretion.
