Why does TA collect your personal information?

TA collects your:

- personal information to facilitate attendance at the event; and

- email address for secure delivery of event communications.

If you have opted in to receive news, updates and offers, your email address is also used to send this type of communication.

What would happen if TA did not collect your personal information?

If TA did not collect your personal information, TA may not be able to process your application to send you all of the additional information and material you need to participate in the event.

Who will TA disclose your personal information to?

Tourism Australia may disclose your personal information to: business partners with whom Tourism Australia has a formal contractual relationship; state and territory tourism authorities in the course of conducting trade events; external service providers such as IT consultants; professional advisers; publishing houses and marketing/advertising agencies; and Commonwealth ministers and government departments.
