Business Events Australia Greater China Showcase Seller Application

To be accepted as a participant at the Business Events Australia Greater China Showcase (the Event), you must provide Tourism Australia with an application which demonstrates you meet the Event Selection Criteria by offering unique Australian incentive product. You must also adhere to the Event Selection Criteria and Event Policy as outlined below as well as with the Terms and Conditions of Event Participation (Terms) and Events Code of Conduct. These will govern your participation in this Event.


Seller Selection Criteria

All applicants wanting to participate at the Event must demonstrate that they comply with each of the following selection criteria.  TA reserves the right to waive any of these criteria at its discretion and/or amend or reject any product or service, which is inconsistent with the criteria. Please refer to the Seller Event Policy for full considerations applied. 

The mandatory requirements for seller companies are as follows:

1. Must be an Australian registered company paying applicable taxes in Australia;

2. Must have public liability insurance to a minimum coverage of $10,000,000 per occurence. Evidence must be provided within the company’s application. Participants are reminded that it is their responsibility to arrange insurance including public & product liability, workers compensation and property insurance;

3. The ability of your product to be booked at the appropriate industry levels, relevant to the distribution system in place;

4. The incentive market as a key focus of your business;

5. Confirmation from the relevant Convention Bureau as to whether your product or service is appropriate for the event.
Where your product or service is a "national" product or service, confirmation may be sought from the Convention Bureau which you deal with the most or TA;

6. Endorsement of your product or service as internationally active in the relevant market which may include evidence of:

a. Attendance at more than one international trade event in the past year;

b. Involvement in an international trade marketing activity with the relevant CVB or TA or your own international sales focused visit;

c. Involvement with TA’s International Media Hosting Program (IMHP) and/or participation in a Business Event educational visit;

d. Evidence of international marketing either via individual initiatives or via offshore wholesalers;

7. Own website and/or availability of your product or service by an alternative distribution channel.

Seller Selection Policy

TA reserves the right to select the appropriate product for the Event and where required will consult with the relevant Convention Bureau before making its decision.    

Consideration will be given to the following important factors during the selection/assessment process of products and services:

• That a mix of products and services are presented to ensure buyer satisfaction

• That sellers have a demonstrated level of experience in handling international incentive programs and

• That sellers of consistency with the objectives of this event, the objectives of Tourism Australia and Tourism Australia’s obligations.

If the number of companies meeting the selection criteria exceeds supply for the Event, Tourism Australia has the right to apply any or all of the following considerations to selection:

• Product category and geographic limit in order to maintain a balanced representation of product; and/or

• Participation at previous showcases hosted by Tourism Australia ; and/or

• Consultation with the relevant Convention Bureau to determine those who will be accepted.


Tourism Australia reserves the right to not consider any applications or part thereof submitted after the application deadline for the Event.

Seller Cancellation Policy

Once acceptance is received, all cancellations must be confirmed in writing. Cancellation fees apply as set out below regardless of whether the Participation Fee has been paid.

50% of Participation Fee cancellation fees apply from:             Monday, 17 September 2018

100% of Participation Fee cancellation fees apply from:           Sunday, 21 October 2018
