BUYER SELECTION CRITERIA

To be invited as a participant at the Business Events Australia Greater China Showcase 2020 (the Event), you must demonstrate to Tourism Australia (TA) that you meet the below eligibility requirements in accordance with the Event Buyer selection criteria. 

You must also adhere to the Buyer Event Terms of Participation (Buyer Terms) and the Tourism Australia Event Code of Conduct. These will govern your participation in this Event. 

By accepting the offer to attend the Event you agree to the Terms, and you release TA, to the extent permitted by law, from liability for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of participating in this Event.

Buyer selection criteria

1. Be an incentive agent who is directly employed by the organisation/agency they represent or a corporate customer at the Event (i.e.; not a contractor).

2. Be a key decision-maker for their clients or who have a high level of influence with their clients and the destinations they choose for incentive travel. 

3. Work for an organisation/agency with a client base of potential long-haul incentive or corporate meeting business which might consider Australia. Target industries might include, but are not limited to insurance, direct selling, financial, Weishang, automotive, technology, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, FMCG, retail or medical. 

4. Receive a personal invitation from Tourism Australia. 

5. Attend all components of the official Event program. 

Buyer selection process 

Buyers will receive an invitation to attend the Event as a hosted buyer from Tourism Australia if they meet the stated criteria. This invitation is non-transferable, however if the buyer cannot attend, they may recommend a colleague of similar experience to take their place. Tourism Australia may consider the suggested replacement buyer and give permission for them to attend if they meet the selection criteria. Tourism Australia is under no obligation to accept the replacement buyer and may cancel the agency’s registration to attend the Event instead. 

 Agencies or agents who have not received an invitation but believe they qualify to attend the Event should contact their local Tourism Australia representative for discussion. 

 By agreeing to attend the Event hosted buyers agree to provide information to assist the qualifying process. This information will include organisation / agency, personal (as part of the registration process) and other information related to the business they manage on behalf of their clients. 

This event is by invitation only from Tourism Australia. Any invitation to attend the Event is offered at the discretion of Tourism Australia and the airline partner/s, where applicable.
