Thank you for your interest in attending Dreamtime 2023. Please find below answers to some frequently asked questions. If you do not see an answer to your question below, contact us.
Dreamtime is a signature incentive showcase designed to increase awareness of and interest in Australia as an outstanding business events destination.
Dreamtime 2023 will be held from 7 November to 9 November 2023 in partnership with Business Events Adelaide.
Dreamtime brings together Australian tourism businesses and international business event planners and media through scheduled appointments and networking events. We expect a record number of applications for Dreamtime 2023 and will manage waitlists in line with the selection criteria to ensure quality appointment schedules.
The Australian Industry Seller Participation Package provides entry for one primary delegate per organisation. The Convention Bureau Participation Package provides entry for two delegates (one primary delegate to meet with agents and one delegate to meet with media).
The fee for an additional delegate pass is AUD$1,250 for Wednesday and Thursday (Dreamtime Business Session, Welcome Event and Dreamtime Dinner) and AUD$900 for Wednesday only (Dreamtime Business Session and Welcome Event). Australian industry sellers should add the additional delegate pass when submitting the application to attend.
You can request an additional delegate or day/event passes at the end of your primary Australian industry seller application process. On the home page, click on the 'Register Additional Delegate' button against a delegate's name or nominate a new contact. If you have already submitted your organisation's application, please contact us and we can revert your application to "In Progress" so that you can make the necessary changes.
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended by the Australian Government for all adults. Whilst evidence of vaccination is not a requirement for participation at Dreamtime 2023, it is strongly encouraged by Tourism Australia.
Please view the Dreamtime 2023 Participation Options for a list of inclusions and costs.
No, all applications will be assessed in line with the Dreamtime 2023 Australian Industry Seller Selection Criteria and Event Terms and Conditions.
Acceptances will be advised in July 2023. Tourism Australia will assess all applications and send out notifications of assessments in line with the key dates.
The deadline for acceptance and payment will be Friday, 4 August 2023.
Accommodation and flights will be at the delegates’ own expense for Dreamtime 2023.
It is recommended that you book your travel once you have been offered a place at the event.
There are approximately 24 available pre-scheduled appointment slots. Tourism Australia cannot guarantee a minimum number of pre-scheduled appointments as this is dependent on preferencing. We strongly encourage all Australian industry sellers to complete preferencing to ensure the best chance of receiving quality appointments. Further details on how to complete preferencing will be sent in September 2023.
Once your appointment schedule is released, unfortunately schedules will be fixed. We encourage Australian industry sellers to maximise your breaks – morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and the Dreamtime networking events – to ensure they connect with as many agents as possible.
Your participation package includes the following at the Dreamtime 2023 Business Session:
Australian industry sellers are free to promote your brand via a PowerPoint presentation or show reels (via computer or iPad). Due to limited space, promotional equipment such as surfboards, pull up banners or other props, are not permitted.
Due to the format of the Dreamtime 2023 Business Session, we do not allow Australian industry sellers to share tables with another organisation.
Yes, all participating Australian industry sellers are required to have a current Public Liability Insurance with a minimum of AUD$10-million per occurrence to participate in a Tourism Australia Trade Event. Please ensure that your organisation meets this requirement as all applications with incomplete insurance details will be automatically waitlisted.
