TRAVEL INFORMATION

TRAVELLING TO HOTEL METROPOLITAN NAGANO

The Hotel Metropolitan Nagano is located in the Nagano Prefecture, approximately 2 to 2.5 hours from Haneda Airport and 3 hours from Narita International Airport.

The hotel is best accessed via bullet train from Tokyo Station.

From Haneda Airport to Hotel Metropolitan Nagano

1. Travel to Tokyo Station by your preferred means.

Uber: Request a pick-up from Haneda Airport and meet your driver at the agreed pick-up location. The journey is approximately 16 minutes in light traffic. 
Monorail: Board the monorail at Terminal 1, 2 or 3. After 18 minutes, disembark at Hamamatuscho Station. Transfer to platform 2 and board the train JR Yamanote Line bound for Ueno. After 6 minutes, disembark at Tokyo Station. Further information can be found here.
Train: Board the Keikyu Line train at Terminal 1, 2 or 3. After 20 minutes, disembark at Shinagawa Station. Change platforms to platform 1 for JR Yamanote line. After 15 minutes, disembark at Tokyo Station. Further information can be found here.
Bus: Board the “Haneda-Airport Limousine Bus”, disembarking at Tokyo station. The journey is approximately 40 minutes. Further information can be found here.

2. Take the bullet train from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station

From Tokyo Station, take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from platforms 20-23 to Nagano Station. The journey will take between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes. Further information can be found here. You can make a booking for the bullet train one month prior to travel. Please note that if you have large baggage (overall dimensions of more than 160cm), you must reserve the ‘passengers travelling with oversized baggage seat’.

3. Walk 170 metres to the Hotel Metropolitan Nagano.

From Narita International Airport to Hotel Metropolitan Nagano

1. Travel to Tokyo Station by your preferred means.

Uber: Request a pick-up from Narita International Airport and meet your driver at the agreed pick-up location. The journey is approximately 60 minutes in light traffic. 
Train/Narita Express: Board the Narita Express bound for Shinjuku from Narita Airport Terminal 1 Station. After 61 minutes, disembark at Tokyo Station. Further information can be found here. 
Train/Skyliner: Board the Skyliner bound for Keisei-Ueno from Narita Airport Terminal 1. After 48 minutes, disembark at Nippori station. Change platforms to the JR Yamanote Line towards Ueno. After 11 minutes, disembark at Tokyo Station. Further information can be found here.
Bus: Board the “Narita-Airport Limousine Bus”, disembarking at Tokyo station. The journey is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes. Further information can be found here.

2. Take the bullet train from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station

RETURNING TO TOKYO

From Hotel Metropolitan Nagano to Haneda Airport

1. Walk 170 metres to Nagano Station.

2. Take the bullet train from Nagano Station to Tokyo Station

The journey will take between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes. Further information can be found here. You can make a booking for the bullet train one month prior to travel. The last appointment on Tuesday, 27 August will finish at 4.30pm. Please reserve your bullet train returning to Tokyo after 5.00pm. It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the station platform. Please note that if you have large baggage (overall dimensions of more than 160cm), you must reserve the ‘passengers travelling with oversized baggage seat’.

3. Travel to Haneda Airport by your preferred means

Uber: Request an Uber and meet your driver at the agreed pick-up location. The journey is approximately 16 minutes in light traffic. 
Monorail: Board the JR Keihin Tohoku - Negishi Line Rapid train on platform 6 or the JR Yamanote Line on platform 5 train to Hamamatsucho. After 4 to 7 minutes, disembark at Hamamatsucho station. Transfer to monorail platform and board the monorail for Haneda Airport. After 18 to 26 minutes, disembark at Haneda Airport.

Train: Board one of the following trains bound for Shinagawa: JR Ueno Tokyo Line on platform 9, JR Keihin Tohoku - Negishi Line Rapid train on platform 6, JR Tokaido Honsen on platform 10, or JR Yamanote Line on platform 5. After 9 to 13 minutes, disembark at Shinagawa Station. Change platforms to the Keikyu Line bound for Haneda Airport. After 20 minutes, disembark at Haneda Airport. From Hotel Metropolitan Nagano to Narita International Airport

TRAVELLING TO KOREA

For those who are attending both Australia Marketplace Japan and Australia Marketplace Korea 2024, we strongly recommend you stay in Tokyo on Tuesday, 27 August (and fly to Seoul, Korea on Wednesday, 28 August). 

Sellers can travel to Seoul, Korea by taking a flight from Haneda Airport, Japan (HND) or Narita International Airport (NRT) to Gimbo International Airport, South Korea (GMP) or Incheon International Airport (ICN). Several flights operate between HND/NRT and GMP daily.

After 11 minutes (6 stations), disembark at City Hall Station. Walk nine minutes to The Westin Josun Hotel.

From Incheon International Airport to The Westin Josun Hotel

Taxi/Uber: Request a pick-up from Incheon International Airport and meet your driver at the agreed pick-up location. The journey is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes in light traffic.
Train: Board the Airport railway bound for Hongik University Station. After 54 minutes (10 stations), disembark at Hongik University Station. Transfer to Subway line 2 bound for City Hall Station. After 11 minutes (6 stations), disembark at City Hall Station. Walk nine minutes to The Westin Josun Hotel.

RETURNING TO GIMPO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OR INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

From The Westin Josun to Gimpo International Airport 

Taxi/Uber: Request an Uber and meet your driver at the agreed pick-up location. The journey is approximately 50 minutes in light traffic.
Train: Walk nine minutes to the City Hall Station. Board Subway line 2 bound for Hongik University Station. After 11 minutes (6 stations), disembark at Hongik University Station. Transfer to the Airport railway bound for Gimpo International Airport. After 16 minutes (3 stations), disembark at Gimpo International Airport. 

From The Westin Josun to Incheon International  Airport 

Taxi/Uber: Request an Uber and meet your driver at the agreed pick-up location. The journey is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes in light traffic.
Train: Walk nine minutes to the City Hall Station. Board Subway line 2 bound for Hongik University Station. After 11 minutes (6 stations), disembark at Hongik University Station. Transfer to the Airport railway bound for Incheon International Airport. After 54 minutes (10 stations), disembark at Incheon International Airport.
