The ATE24 Media Program will be held from 17 to 20 May 2024 in Melbourne/Narrm, in partnership with Visit Victoria.
What will the ATE24 MEDIA PROGRAM look like?
The ATE24 Media Program will, over 4 days, include the International Media Marketplace in partnership with TravMedia. Exhibitors will be allocated a table within state and territory zones and media will move between appointments.
Who can attend?
The ATE Media Program is an opportunity for media delegates to meet one-on-one with Australian tourism businesses, special interest operators, attractions and accommodation providers. We expect a record number of applications for the ATE24 Media Program and will manage waitlists in line with the exhibitor selection criteria and in conjunction with State and Territory Tourism Organisations to ensure quality appointment schedules.
How many delegates from my organisation can attend the ATE24 Media program?
A maximum of two delegates can attend the ATE24 Media Program, one primary and one additional delegate. Please visit the exhibitor participation options page for a list of inclusions. Exhibitors should add the additional delegate pass when submitting their application to attend.
Do I have to be vaccinated to attend the ATE24 media program?
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended by the Australian Government for all adults. Whilst evidence of vaccination is not a requirement for participation at the ATE24 Media Program, it is strongly encouraged by Tourism Australia.
What is the cost to attend the ATE24 media program?
Exhibitor participation fees will be $1,650 for an exhibition table and an appointment schedule. Please visit the exhibitor participation options for a list of inclusions.
Can I purchase a day pass to attend international media marketplace?

No, all applications will be assessed in line with the exhibitor selection criteria and Tourism Australia Event terms and conditions.
When will I know if my application has been accepted and an offer received?
Acceptances will be advised in December 2023. Tourism Australia will assess all applications and send out notifications of assessments in line with the exhibitor key dates.
When do I need to pay?
Offers will be communicated in December 2023 with a deadline for acceptance and payment of Friday, 2 February 2024.
Can I share a table with another exhibitor?
Due to the format of International Media Marketplace, we do not allow exhibitors to share a table with another organisation.
Are flights and accommodation included for exhibitors to attend the ATE24 media program?
Accommodation and flights will be at the delegates’ own expense for the ATE24 Media Program.
When should I book flights?
It is recommended that you do not book your travel until you have been offered a place at the event.
How long will the appointments be at the ATE24 media program?
Appointments for the ATE24 Media Program will be 14-minutes with a 1-minute walk time between appointments.
How many appointments will I receive at the ATE24 media program?
There will be approximately 21 pre-scheduled appointment slots. Tourism Australia cannot guarantee a minimum number of pre-scheduled appointments as this is dependent on media preferencing as well as exclusions selected. We strongly encourage all exhibitors to complete preferencing to ensure the best chance of receiving quality appointments. Further details on how to complete preferencing will be sent in March 2024.
What if I don't get an appointment with a media delegate I really wanted to meet with?
Once your appointment schedule is released, there will be a period of online messaging where you can contact any media delegate that you did not secure a pre-scheduled appointment with to try and find a suitable time to meet. However, please keep in mind that media schedules are likely to be close to full. We encourage exhibitors to maximise their breaks – morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and the evening networking events – to ensure they have connected with as many Media as possible.
Can I exclude media that may not be relevant for me to meet with?
Yes, exhibitors will be able to exclude any media that are not relevant in the preferencing process. Further details will be sent to accepted exhibitors ahead of preferencing opening in March 2024.
